Corporate Responsibilities
Neo-Concept is committed to ensuring that all our facilities and vendor partners comply with a high standard of operations which complies with current legislation. Our main areas of corporate responsibility are:
People & Community Services
At Neo-Concept our people are our foundation and we respect all our employees. We have direct monitoring to drive our facilities and vendor partners to better performance in compliance. There is an independent compliance team who has vast know-how and work experience in best practice for Labor, Health & Safety, Environment, Ergonomic and C-TPAT. With this knowledge we implement and achieve the requirements of customers and local regulatory bodies.
Neo-Concept is happy to invest in people, so we develop and train people in various roles where we have expertise in order to share our skills, give new opportunities and cultivate talent. We also actively promote charitable activities and volunteering as we care for the communities which have fostered our development.
Government Legislation
Neo-Concept strictly observes government legislation, and we welcome monitoring and assessment by local government bureaus such as the Labor Bureau, Ministry of Labor & Social Security, Safety Surveillance Bureau, Fire Brigade, Environment Protection Bureau and the CDC-Centers for Disease Control. We regularly engage with government and civil society to influence positive change in developing stronger regulatory environments. In particular, we aim to track and understand the implications of government policy changes on labour law and enforcement practices as a result of the global economic crisis.
Production
Our internal Vendor Compliance Manual promotes good working practices through compliance with various policies. The FIT 5 project by TUV Rheinland (Factory Improvement Training with 5 modules) runs in one of our facilities to enhance our competiveness and sustainability. Lean manufacturing principles and incentive based remuneration systems increases productivity in our facilities. Please Click
We drive forward our efficiency in monitoring and controlling the use of metal and sharp tools to safeguard staff. We also implemented the 8S management method which entails 8 areas of focus. These include Sorting; Straightening (setting in order); Sweeping (cleaning); Standardizing; Systematic cleaning; Self discipline; Safety and Saving (on waste and expense). Through these eight methods we can standardize work practices and optimize the operating environment.
Clean Production
Clean production is an area we are implementing across our production sites. We have introduced waste management systems and apply the principles of the 3Rs – “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle” across all our sites and through training of staff. In 2011, we launched the clean production partnership program with Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC); the program contributes to a cleaner environment by reducing carbon emissions, saving energy, minimizing emissions of air pollutants, reducing effluent discharge and crucially, reduce production costs.
Environmental Protection
We develop eco-friendly products, such as our trademarked polyester material, Pas’n air®, which is designed to have low energy consumption and less waste pollutants. Our new headquarters, Neo Zhongshan, best exemplifies our green philosophy. From the architectural design, to construction materials and waste recycling, the complex was designed to reduce the impact on the environment. Please Click
